History

Established in 2000 to exploit the strong technological expertise of its founders in cross-linked polyethylene foams, MasterPlast has developed a new approach to cross-linked polyethylene foam production, while simultaneously developing a wide range of specific plastic additives.

The considerable experience and professionalism, recognised and appreciated by the market, allow the company to grow in importance and turnover year after year, both in Italy and abroad.

MasterPlast is currently European leader of XPE turnkey production plants, the leading Italian producer of mastered blowing and curing agents for cross-linked polyethylene foams, and one of the main manufacturers in Europe.

MasterPlast has developed a new approach in cross-linked polyethylene foam production based on a significant simplification of the production process. Using the most advanced technologies in electronics, power supply and air heating, MasterPlast has designed a new concept of XPE production plant using pre-dispersed materials.

MasterPlast offers a wide range of products such as blowing agents, peroxides, flame retardants, heat and light stabilisers and colour masterbatches.

In 2007, the company moved its production site to Cornate d’Adda, tripling its production facilities.

In 2009, MasterPlast focused its attention on European and extra-European markets, increasing export activities, which today represent more than 50% of total turnover.

Presently, the company exports to France, Belgium, England, Spain, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Portugal, Greece, Russia, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, India and the United Arab Emirates.

In 2013, MasterPlast expanded through the incorporation of a colour masterbatches division. Thanks to this, the company has strengthened its position in the colour masterbatches market and has expanded its offer to a wide range of thermoplastic products.
